Join Our Interfaith Youth Councils
Interfaith Youth Council of Los Angeles County (IYCLAC)At New Vision Partners, we have embarked on a new venture - to create a high school age Interfaith Youth Council of Los Angeles County. After receiving nominations, we have selected a group of 12 students from Los Angeles County, representing a variety of religious traditions, who have formed a committee to plan activities to promote religious understanding, community service, and leadership development. The general committee has sub-committees that offers students chances for wonderful experiences in the years before they head off to college to become our next generation of thoughtful and inclusive leaders.
We meet monthly and have various activities interspersed throughout the year. New Vision Partners is passionate about interfaith work, and we feel that inspired interfaith leadership will be sorely needed in the decades to come in business, law, education, and politics. This Council will offer students a unique opportunity to come together with other students, learn from each other, and work together to make LA County a better place, with increased understanding and respect for everyone. |
Interfaith Youth Council of Orange County (IYCOC)The Interfaith Youth Council of Orange County was established in 2007 as an outgrowth of the successful Interfaith Youth Forum. Students representing a wide variety of traditions have been involved in many service projects, interfaith councils, interfaith trips, and the Faith Festival and Forum. The emphases for the program are on leadership development, community service, interfaith dialogue, and building relationships. For more information, visit our website at www.iycoc.org.
